Brian Hart joins the EveryLibrary Board in 2015.
On behalf of my EveryLibrary colleagues, I’m pleased to announce that Brian D. Hart is joining our board of directors. Brian joins us at an interesting and important time. We’re transitioning from our ‘proof of concept’ period to a time when we are both more established as an organization and still innovating like crazy for libraries. I’m excited to be working with him because of that opportunity for innovation.
We know very clearly from the voter data
that their behavior is driven by their attitudes about the library as an institution AND also about the librarians as the people who do the good work in their communities. We’re developing plans in 2016 for a more visible advocacy initiative about librarians to compliment our “Vote Librarie
s” focus this year. As a co-founder of the Librarians Build Communities
MIG for ALA, Brian is uniquely experienced to help us broaden a discussion within the profession about the public’s perception of librarianship.
